EDF selects Prisme.ai to power its generative AI portal

Already deeply committed to AI solutions serving both its employees and customers, the EDF Group is accelerating its efforts in generative AI (GenAI) by providing its IT teams with a dedicated “GenAI portal.” This portal is powered by Prisme.ai
As Franck Michon, Director of EDF’s Center of Excellence for Data, AI and Software Development, explains:
“This GenAI portal will primarily benefit our employees by enabling the daily use of these new technologies in their roles, improving both job satisfaction and company performance. Generative AI will support our advisors in real time, helping them analyze complex questions by quickly accessing extensive documentation and drafting accurate responses. It will also assist our IT teams by streamlining the software development process and simplifying code writing — all within a trusted framework.”
An Ambitious Partnership Built for Impact
In a strategic move to scale generative AI across the enterprise, EDF chose a trio of French tech leaders to build its sovereign GenAI platform:
- Prisme.ai: for orchestrating, governing, and securing AI use cases
- Exaion (EDF Group subsidiary): for powering and hosting the infrastructure in EDF’s own datacenters
- Mistral AI: for efficient, sovereign language models
The result? A secure, flexible, and enterprise-grade environment — the AI.Gen Portal — designed to empower over 160,000 EDF employees and boost operational performance across the board.
Prisme.ai at the Heart of EDF’s GenAI Strategy: A New Era of Trusted, Scalable AI
On April 10, during the “GenAI - 4th Edition: The Age of Agents” IMAgine Day, leaders from EDF, Exaion, and Prisme.ai took the stage to unveil one of the most ambitious GenAI deployments in the French industrial ecosystem: EDF Group’s AI.Gen Portal.
📍 Location: Maison de la RATP, Paris
🎤 Session: “Building a Generative AI Platform at Scale” with Olivier Masse (EDF), Wafaâ AMAL (Prisme.ai), and Laurent Bernou-Mazars (Exaion).
🏆 Recognized Innovation
On July 1, the AI.Gen Portal won the DTEO Innovation Trophy in the category “Accelerate and Industrialize Digital Solutions” — a strong vote of confidence from EDF’s internal innovation ecosystem.
This award recognizes not only the platform’s business value, but its alignment with EDF’s ethical commitments to GenAI:
✅ Employee-centric
✅ Non-discriminatory
✅ Environmentally responsible
✅ Trustworthy
✅ Secure
The journey has only just begun. But one thing is clear: generative AI is no longer a proof of concept. It’s a strategic pillar.
